無疑，Adam Freeland絕對是2000年代初期nu-breaks風潮中的首位superstar DJ，而他在2001年發表的這張DJ-mix專輯《On Tour》，絕對是教科書等級的無敵經典。

之所以取名為《On Tour》，我想除了反映Adam Freeland當時持續遊走世界各地從事DJing演出的努力外，他也將錄自參加一些大型festival gigs時的現場觀眾歡呼聲巧妙地放入這張DJ-mix專輯的各個角落，營造出彷彿live recording的臨場感。然而《On Tour》最為巧奪天工之處，還是在Adam Freeland如何將一首首本質上甚deep且minimal、又或許是「世俗眼光」認為不具舞池功能的作品，透過完美的bassline與groove串連設計，雕塑出一個竟能在深邃凝重之氛圍空間中行雲流水地持續供輸groovy與steppin'跳脫動能的DJ set，展現出Adam Freeland絕對獨步「舞」林的nu-skool breaks DJ美學，可以肯定比起《Tectonics》無疑更見精鍊與提升。

不過最為耐人尋味的是Adam Freeland在不知情的狀況下，將Cause 4 Concern的一曲原為45轉的drum & bass作品〈Phat Cap〉「誤打誤撞」以33轉播放，反倒為整個Set「將錯就錯」地多添了一首甚酷的electro-breaks曲目，而Adam本人一直到跟原公司申請使用授權時才得知這原來是一首drum & bass！
