在90年代曾被NME音樂週報喻為「全世界最酷樂團」，持續橫跨流行、另類、搖滾、饒舌範疇去製造出年輕時尚聲音的Beastie Boys，在與《Ill Communication》相隔四年的這張《Hello Nasty》中，褪去了過去活躍的搖滾態度，重拾基本步地帶來一張滿溢80年代old-skool hip-hop/electro興味，卻仍舊散發著天馬行空之想像力的趣味專輯。
