極少數的樂團能像 Black Country, New Road 一樣在音樂旅程上總是以「全新面貌」與大家見面。從將爵士、後搖滾與東歐猶太 Klezmer 融合的首張專輯《For the First Time》，Art Rock 與 Chamber Pop 美麗共存的《Ants From Up There》，到主唱 Isaac Wood 離團後迅速重整隊形，以全新姿態展現並被衛報 (The Guardian) 五顆星讚譽是「奇蹟般的復活」的全新歌現場《Live at Bush Hall》，BC,NR 總是回歸於「零」然後重生，能夠適應變化的能力，不僅歸功於他們的出色才氣，也來自團員長期以來的深厚情感及創作默契。

在經過「Bush Hall」開始的一連串新歌巡回之後，團員們覺得這些歌曲的生命週期已經結束，BC,NR 再度從零開始塑造新的音樂圖像《Forever Howlong》，要再次證明每張專輯都會帶來全新的聲音，而且沒有人能做出與他們相似的作品。

《Forever Howlong》是他們最具野心、最獨特、最大膽的作品，新歌初始架構由 Tyler Hyde、Georgia Ellery 和 May Kershaw 三位不同聲線、風格的成員形成，由個體創意匯集成群體聲音的創作橫跨了民謠、前衛搖滾、巴洛克流行 (Baroque pop) 以及另類搖滾等... 元素，並致敬了 Joanna Newsom、Randy Newman、Fiona Apple 和 Janis Ian 等... 音樂人，儘管音樂風格龐大豐富，專輯中仍然保有 BC,NR 獨特的聲音標誌，並交由專輯由 James Ford 製作（Fontaines D.C.、Arctic Monkeys、Depeche Mode、Blur）。
