Description

以KRS-One為首之紐約hip hop/rap組合Boogie Down Productions 於1988年發表的第二張專輯《By All Means Necessary》，因為原團員DJ Scott La Rock遭受槍殺而讓他們在創作上轉而透過發人深思的歌詞關注種族歧視、毒品、暴力等社會議題等，成就一張與Public Enemy經典《It Takes a Nation of Millions》相提並論的。不僅將專輯造就成了政治說唱史上的political rap名盤。值得一提的是，第二首〈Ya Slippin'〉還取樣了Deep Purple 搖滾名曲〈Smoke on the Water〉那段家喻戶曉的吉他。
