Description

有些朋友或許或對美國樂團The Brian Jonestown Massacre有印象，因為這張於1998年發表的樂團第七張專輯《Strung Out in Heaven》的開場曲〈Going To Hell〉，曾出現在電影　American Pie》中（但並未收錄在原聲帶）。

團名以致敬Rolling Stones團員Brian Jones將東方文化和音樂引入西方搖滾樂世界中的影響力而命名的The Brian Jonestown Massacre，在《Strung Out in Heaven》這張專輯中所呈現的濃郁60年代迷幻搖滾/民謠韻味，也的確清楚地吸納了The Rolling Stones、The Animals、The Small Faces、The Byrds等經典樂團的薰陶，讓他們在90年代末的neo-psychedelia風潮中站穩一席之地，至於首張專輯中曾有的shoegaze色彩早已不復見。
