有時候正是這樣矛盾對比的相互碰撞才更為美麗迷人。

現居柏林的資深加拿大電子製作人Deadbeat，打從90年代末期起便持續在dub/minimal的聲響空間中進行探索。這張睽違五年的新作名為《Kübler-Ross Soliloquies》，正是以瑞士裔美國精神病理學家提出的「庫伯勒-羅絲模型」（Kübler-Ross model）做為創作靈感，傳達的是對於人們面對哀傷與災難過程中五個獨立階段的沉思，音樂表現上卻可能是他至今最具舞池動態、同時貼近underground club場景的一次出手，各具異稟的dub techno、ambient techno風貌都能巧妙地利用空間結構的置換讓低頻的感受更為強大。而無比深邃dubby得讓人想起昔日The Bug的慢板魔性曲目〈Brick Stick Blick Blade (Anger II)》位於專輯中段更是扮演了絕佳的轉場角色。
