身為南非黑人酷兒藝術團體FAKA的二分之一，Desire Marea這張個人專輯比起FAKA作品明顯褪去trap式重擊節奏與rap演繹，取而代之的是更多post-industrial/deconstructed club肌理與ambient-pop組態的結合，形成這樣一張雄心勃勃的art-pop傑作，探索愛、慾望、失落與歸屬感。

私心最愛的不只有Desire Marea騷靈嗓音與techno-jazz曲式完美結合的〈Tavern Kween〉，還有宛如一齣史詩般死亡金屬歌劇的閉幕曲〈Studies in Black Trauma〉（中後段加入gqom元素肯定是神來之筆）。
