成軍於1990年的美國rap-metal樂團 Dog Eat Dog 於1994年推出的首張專輯《All Boro Kings 》Ｍ不僅大賣六十萬張讓他們取得商業成功一鳴驚人，重點在於成功建立了Dog Eat Dog那種結合rap-metal/rap-rock與hardcore-punk元素的強烈風格——並邀來Bad Brains的Darryl Jenifer為〈Who's the King〉一曲跨刀。甚至偶而加入薩克斯風來注入絲絲爵士韻味，也是神來之筆。
