或者你聽過他在Planet Mu、Border Community抑或其自家廠牌Eglo旗下發表的作品，或者聽過他為Basement Jaxx、Bonobo炮製的Remix，甚至你可能聽說過他與Fourt Tet私交甚篤，總之Sam Shepherd這位來自倫敦的神經科學系博士生所化身的Floating Points在2015年帶來了這張精彩的首張專輯 《Elaenia》。

整張專輯在Tom Skinner、Leo Taylor 、Susumu Mukai、Edward Benton、Matthew Kettle、Joe Zeitlin等多位客席樂手助陣下，以有機性手法揉合古典、爵士、巴西音樂以及實驗電子元素，其中最為精彩的莫過於長達11分鐘的〈Silhouettes (I, II & III)〉。而將Talk Talk視為音樂影響之一的他，也讓這張作品沾染些許art-rock色彩，從而勾勒出一幅美輪美奐的融合電氣音樂圖像。
