另類搖滾大團Foo Fighters在去年經歷了鼓手Taylor Hawkins與靈魂人物Dave Grohl母親離世，之後加入新鼓手Josh Freese所帶來的新專輯《But Here We Are》。在與長期合作的葛萊美製作人 Greg Kurstin操刀下，蘊含了些許悲傷、離別氣息卻傳遞出正面能量，呼應著近乎全白的封面設計，某種程度上《But Here We Are》也可視為Foo Fighters重振旗鼓的「純白的起點」。

而《But Here We Are》彷彿將老樂迷帶回90年代愛上Foo Fighters的起點之餘，私心大愛〈Hear Voices〉的前奏可以聯想到The Cure，但最大驚喜是十分鐘長篇之作〈The Teacher〉以撕裂的吉他噪音音牆作結絕對震懾人心。
