Description

Forest for the Trees主腦Carl Stephenson其實就是在90年代初與Beck合寫神曲《Loser》並共同製作了經典專輯《Mellow Gold》的幕後功臣，於是乎1997年首張同名專輯《Forest for the Trees》中揉合hip hop節拍與異國風情的首支單曲〈Dream〉，也宛如Beck+Black Grape+Cornershop結晶般討喜。而這張蟄伏indie-dance肌理與折衷創作思維的《Forest for the Trees》，其實在某種程度上早ㄧ步為日後skunk-rock/nu-psychedelia乃至Indietronica風格的誕生做出預告。
