雖然多才多藝（也會為也為電影、電玩遊戲、舞蹈作品、藝術裝置⋯⋯等創作音樂），但Matthew Barnes這位利物浦實驗電子/聲響設計（sound design）藝術家所化身Forest Swords專輯產量卻不算多，《Bolted》只不過是十年來的第三張個人專輯而已，卻是出色得讓人甘心等待。


《Bolted》這張專輯在他家鄉利物浦的一間工廠裡錄製完成，建構的正是一個滿佈post-industrial節奏組態的實驗性漩渦，釋放的情緒張力偏執且強悍，讓人難以自拔地被吸入那個瀰漫illbient式混盹闇黑氛圍的黑洞之中。


有趣的是，當中單曲〈The Low〉其實開始於原本為Yoko Ono所做所做的beat，後來再加入Neneh Cherry未曾曝光的acapella所完成。更值得一提的是，深邃dubby的閉幕曲〈Line Gone Cold〉取樣了已逝傳奇Lee "Scratch" Perry的聲音（他曾為Forest Swords的2013年作品〈Thor's Stone〉炮製remix）。
