母親為牙買加人，父親來自南美洲，讓出生於布魯克林、青少年時期搬遷至倫敦的Goya Gumbani，因為這段跨大西洋的成長經歷深刻影響了他的音樂風格與文化視野。專輯名稱借用了專欄評論家George Frazier對Miles Davis的描述，這張邀來Yaya Bey、Joe Armon-Jones等跨刀的首張大碟，便在音樂上以揉合jazz rap/hip hop、British neo-soul而成的舒適溫婉聽感，讓人沈浸在他富詩意與情感的敘事表達之中，去感受他想傳達的文化認同與社會議題。

附帶一提，除了音樂領域之外，Goya與Louis Vuitton、i-D Magazine、The Face等品牌、媒體合作過，展現他與音樂風格相輔相成的時尚品味。
