打從90年代末以名作《Around The House》將jazz/soul house與microsound共冶一爐之先河，多年來Matthew Herbert透過與眾多藝術家的合作和製作，不斷展現其獨特的存在感與風格。

如今他與跨界資深歌手/鼓手Momoko Gill 以「Herbert & Momoko」之名發行首張專輯《Clay》，將 Herbert 的取樣工藝（素材還包含日本箏）、Momoko 那蘊含Sade神韻的純淨嗓音，揉進結合microhouse、nu-jazz、neo-soul的電子art-pop音樂世界中，同時展現與 Herbert 早期《Bodily Functions 》遙相呼應的有機質感。
