在這個過度修飾、追求完美的數位時代，KeiyaA 的出現就像是當頭棒喝，提醒我們粗糲的質地才是靈魂樂最原本的樣貌。於是乎，《hooke’s law》的專輯名稱借用物理學的「虎克定律」，完美隱喻了在生活的重壓與社會的拉扯下，黑人女性的靈魂如何被扭曲，卻又如何靠著強大的內在張力，彈回最堅韌的自我形態。

最終《hooke’s law》以alternative R&B/neo-soul作為底蘊，往爵士肌理、實驗流行與帶舞池推進力的面向擴張，唱出焦慮、慾望、怒氣與自我修復，那是ㄧ種帶著雜訊的親密美感。
