成軍於紐約的Liars曾被Time Out New York形容為「史上最重型龐克搖滾跳舞樂團」，在2001年憑著首張專輯一戰成名天下知，展現結合no wave、post-punk、funk groove與synth-riffs、簡陋鼓機節拍激盪出來的驚人成果。相隔20年後，加入精通多項樂器之 Cameron Deyell與前衛爵士鼓手Laurence Pike的Liars帶來第十張專輯，依舊在抑鬱的靜態氛圍與的陰鬱和懾人失序的的工業噪音之間來回激盪，卻意外成就出該團有史以來最精緻與平易近人之作。
