以 Ian Broudie這位名製作人（Echo & the Bunnymen、Sleeper）為首的利物浦樂團The Lightning Seeds，在90年代初期曾紅極一時。甚至在Britpop時代來臨之前，他們的〈The Life of Riley〉（香港樂評人 袁智聰 曾選為「10首必聽的英倫獨立搖滾足球主題曲」之一）跟〈Pure〉，便已名列自己心中最愛的英國吉他流行金曲名單之中。

一直以來，私心最愛Ian Broudie的創作總是可以在心碎與樂觀之間取得讓人觸動的美妙平衡。

坦白說，這張睽違13年的新專輯《See You in the Stars》中有The Coral的James Skelly以及老戰友Terry Hall跨刀，對我來說不是重點，而是聽到〈Green Eyes〉、〈Sunshine〉有著該團招牌旋律節奏的作品，讓我知道我愛的The Lightning Seeds依舊別來無恙。
