這幾年來，澳洲電子製作人Samantha Poulter所化身的Logic1000，對於熱愛house音樂的朋友而言肯定不陌生——你可能聽過Four Tet在Coachella音樂節播放她的〈Please Forgive Me〉，也可能聽過她為Caribou、Flume、Orbital、Fever Ray等名將所炮製的remix。

重要的是，自2018年起持續發表單曲/EP的她，終於帶來了這張首張大碟《Mother》，一張能在家中細細品味的上乘club-pop之作。

如果說先前那張名列Mixmag雜誌年度最佳EP之選的《You've Got The Whole Night To Go》所呈現的是較為紮實直擊的舞池動能，《Mother》肯定體現了Logic1000初為人母的心境轉變，一首首各具異稟的house樂章乃至少許techno、IDM/progressive breaks曲目，都展現了比起過去更加溫婉細膩的情感層面，偶而還彷彿能窺見她脆弱悲傷的黑暗面。

更討人欣喜的是，Rochelle Jordan、Kayla Blackmon等歌手獻聲演繹的歌曲所蘊含的90 年代流行R&B旋律線條。
