Description

90年代裡以Miki Bereryi和Emma Anderson兩位女主唱為首的指標shoegaze樂團Lush，在創團貝斯手Steve Rippon離團、由Phil King入替情況下發表的《Split》，由Mike Hedge製作、Alan Moulder混音，甚至邀來The Banshees鍵盤手Martin McCarrick譜寫弦樂，意欲擺脫前作《Spooky》所蘊含的Cocteau Twins影子的企圖乃不言可喻，甚至見到了Miki和Emma兩位靈魂人物的創作才盡情展現。不料《Split》在當時普遍負評如潮，但私心卻最愛這次被Lush帶入的蒼涼灰暗音樂世界中，特別是兩首8分種左右的慢板長篇之作〈Dessire Lines〉和〈Never-Never〉，今時今日依舊可以那樣觸動心靈。
