自post-britpop風潮中蘊育出來的Mansun樂團（甚至團名的典故也是來自The Verve的一首B-Side作品〈A Man Called Sun〉，這張首張專輯在吸納了The Beatles、David Bowie、XTC、Syd Barrett、Suede等前輩的元素之後，並不只是「環保」地東拼西湊出一張二流的britpop專輯，相反地每一首作品都能夠展現出他們自成一格、圓融完整的創作格局(如〈Wide Open Space〉、〈Stripper Car〉等單曲都是代表)。
