Diplo在2020前後將鄉村音樂與流行EDM結合引發話題，那麼這張《Preacher's Sigh & Potion: Lost Album》說明了Matthew Dear早已完成超前部署。

耕耘超過20個年頭的Matthew Dear，持續展示著art pop與電子音樂融合的可能性與多元面貌，2007年專輯《Asa Breed》更曾獲Resident Advisor網站選為2000年代最佳專輯第39名。而這些重見天日的作品原本錄製於2007-2010年間，集結而成他向Texas成長經歷致敬的作品集。在那些acoustic吉他聲線主導下，電子肌理與 country folk色彩產生了微妙的結合，有時靈巧動感，有時和煦舒適。
