Description

Peaky Beats這位伊拉克裔英國UKG好手終於在自家廠牌Peaky Beats Records發表了這張歷時三年完成的首張大碟《Bloodlines》，真實反映他的音樂成長經歷（2000年代前後UKG到dubstep的演進脈絡）與血脈根源，將傳統與當代中東音樂取樣嵌入節奏多變的各式UK garage、breakstep、UK bass組態中，從而體現多元文化認同。比起先前幾張EP明顯地更加野心勃勃，不少時候也更強化了源自dubstep甚或nu-breaks影響的侵略性渾厚bassline。

這邊要大推一下黑膠版本，因為比起數位上架的9首還多了一首〈Wenu Dub〉，此曲取樣了敘利亞傳奇歌手 Omar Souleyman 的經典熱門歌曲〈Wenu Wenu〉！
