一如他的化名quickly, quickly般，Graham Jonson的新專輯《The Long & Short Of It》相較於2018年前作《Paths》所展顯的轉變與進化，絕對是倍速且巨大的。

之前有收聽「lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to」這個大紅頻道的話，或許聽過quickly, quickly的〈getsomerest/sleepwell〉（收錄在2017年作品集《Quickly, Quickly Vol.1》中）在頻道中配播放。也因為這首歌，讓他的lo-fi hip hop製作人身份（最初他是深受J Dilla影響）讓更多人認識。

但來到《The Long & Short Of It》，邀來詩人音樂家Sharriff Simmons跨刀獻聲的專輯開場曲〈Phases〉就已經先聲奪人，帶來與過去作品截然不同的面貌與驚艷感。結果，簡直「判若兩人」的quickly, quickly已經不只在是懂幾道lo-fi hip hop班斧，而是以全方位唱作人的姿態，將jazz、neo-soul/R&B、hip hop、psych-pop、bedroom-pop、indietronica元素信手捻來，透過更豐富且多層次的節奏動態的變化讓人聽得意猶未盡。
