僅憑著2017年那張Mixtape作品《Birds And The BEE9》便贏得Australian Music Prize肯定，又在2019年發表了史詩般的首張正式專輯《The Return》，出生於尚比亞、後來定居於墨爾本的饒舌詩人歌手Sampa The Great，在疫情期間搬回非洲出生地，以更自由的心靈狀態深入探討了她對非洲的記憶，探討非洲與世界的關係以及非洲女性對世界的意義，音樂上更向尚比亞獨有的傳統Zamrock風格取經，進而融合hip hop、jazz、reggae、soul/R&B，成就這張富有洞察力與啟發性的強大作品。
