Description

80年代末跨進90年代紅遍全球的重金屬名團Skid Row，於1991年發表了這張大獲好評的後繼專輯《Slave to the Grind》。

首張同名專輯《Skid Row》所蘊含的pop-metal氣味，在更為重型的《Slave to the Grind》中已不復見，轉而突破glam metal格局後迸發猛然殺入thash metal領域的狂暴霸氣，批評政治、毒品等問題的腐敗與黑暗，還有〈Quicksand Jesus〉赤裸裸地質疑宗教信仰。

這張專輯當年發行時還有另一個插曲，就是當中我很喜愛的〈Get the Fuck Out〉受到保守勢力抗議，因為發行另一個「乾淨」版本是由原本在日盤CD中獨家加收曲〈Beggars Day〉予以取代——所幸這個重發版本還是收錄了〈Get the Fuck Out〉。
