從2017的《Okey》EP開始、經過2018的《Have fun》EP再到這張首張專輯《Believer》誕生，Smerz這個挪威實驗電子雙人組所完成的電聲進化實在太有趣！

你以為從同名曲〈Believe〉所流露的昔日Tricky式goth-hop魔性就可以窺得專輯的大略樣貌嗎？不，Smerz沒有那麼容易被看透。整張專輯中讓典雅的室內樂、歌劇、北歐民謠等元素與各類實驗聲響/節奏破格地、不按牌理出牌地並置共融，當中還有偶爾帶著PBR&B色彩的的歌聲不時貫穿，總之分分秒秒都有意想不到的聽覺次加產生。

早期的Yves Tunor遇上《Homogenic》時期的Björk，或許會是個不錯的聯想。
