在90年代中葉以降的post-trip hop風潮中，擁有女主唱Nina Miranda的英國三人組合Smoke City之所以能在「post-portishead」標籤下脫穎而出，在於他們成功地把trip hop與巴西音樂/bossa nova、acid jazz乃至於acoustic folk加以揉合，誕生出這張一鳴驚人的首張專輯《Flying Away》，當中的暢銷單曲〈Underwater Love〉還曾被用作Levi's廣告曲。
