Description

傳奇另類搖滾樂團Sonic Youth與幕後合作多年的 John Silket 共同操刀製作的第九張錄音室專輯《Washing Machine》，某種程度上這可算是Sonic Youth在加入主流唱片公司Geffen、經歷過搖滾巨星式生活後的「洗盡鉛華」之作，就連錄音工程也出人意料地未在紐約進行，而是轉移到曼菲斯市的 Easley Recording 完工，結果成就的是一張實驗色彩鮮明、甚至是蟄伏些許post-rock/avant-rock肌理的名盤。

最為樂迷所津津樂道，則是包括了當時刷新該團作品紀錄、長達20分鐘的史詩般樂章〈Diamond Sea〉——由 Thurston  Moore溫婉嗓音引導下讓後半段的吉他噪音音牆縱情粗殘聽覺至無意識抽象狀態。
