《Surrender》在90年代末問世時所突顯的重要意義，在於見到The Chemical Brothers降低big beat方程式比重進後重投4/4拍式舞曲結構，
還大量向70、80年代電子音樂/舞曲的根源進行探索。

同時不可忽略的，還有邀來Mazzy Star女主唱Hope Sandoval與Mercury Rev吉他手Jonathan Donahue助陣的兩首慢板psychedelic-folk作品〈Asleep From Day〉與〈Dream On〉。
