Description

有些朋友應該記得，電影《搖滾青春戀習曲（Sing Street）》中段，男主角Conor的哥哥Brendan便曾拿出The Cure《The Head on the Door》黑膠，同時響起〈In Between Days〉這首名曲。緊接著Conor的造型，便轉而致敬The Cure主唱Robert Smith。

而這張專輯，也在2025年Record Store Day以圖案膠形式重發。

事實上，標誌著The Cure風格一大轉變的《The Head on the Door》於1985年8月13日問世，《搖滾青春戀習曲》的時空背景也正是設定在1985年的都柏林，反映了1980年代都柏林青少年的反叛精神以及音樂上的文化轉譯過程。

而〈In Between Days〉這首單曲聽起來很輕快、甚至具備日後90年代Britpop那樣的討喜搶耳特質，詞意實則蘊含深層失落與迷惘。歌曲在片中出現的時間點，剛好用來象徵Conor從旁觀的模仿角度進而嘗試主動自我尋覓的內在轉折，以及哥哥 Brendan內心深處對於夢想被現實壓垮的不平懊悔。
