真是太驚喜！沒想到2000年初El-P與其自家廠牌Definitive Jux的IDM hip hop風範，會在The Fear Ratio的最新專輯《Slinky》中再現，特別是倫敦饒舌歌手King Kashmere跨刀的兩曲。

更驚喜的是，《Slinky》不但在傳奇techno廠牌Tresor旗下發表，The Fear Ratio更是兩位在圈中早已名聞遐邇的techno製作人James Ruskin 和 Mark Broom聯手於2010年代初期便已發起的音樂計畫，但《Slinky》一如過去The Fear Ratio專輯般玩的絕非一般techno手法，而是讓modular synth音色所帶來的IDM音樂線條與深沈多元的hip hop、UK dubstep、juke/footwork、halfstep乃至hard drum、deconstructed club節奏組態共冶一爐，體現出兩位老將與時俱進的聲響進化。
