回到所謂West Coast hip hop圈中由gangsta rap大行其道的90 年代初期，The Pharcyde 透過《Bizarre Ride II》展示音樂性的更多可能性，同時在jazz、funk 元素的融合下也讓他們跨進了jazz rap範疇。
