過去30年多來，由Coldcut創立的英國廠牌Ninja Tune，肯定是最成功結合視覺藝術與跨電音、嘻哈乃至搖滾領域的最成功獨立重鎮之一。

而這張原於2000年發表的這套3CD合集《Xen Cuts》，便是Ninja Tune最初十年的完美縮影——「X」在羅馬數字中代表的便是「十」。除了CD1與CD2收錄了一首首經典單曲之外，重點是CD3收錄了一些珍貴的b-side或未發表作品，讓這套合集更顯珍貴，也更能夠完成體驗這個忍者軍團在第一個十年所淬煉的奇幻音樂忍術。
