來自格拉斯哥的五人樂團Walt Disco雖然團名中有「Disco」字樣，作品中也的確會時不時蘊含著disco律動而來，但聆聽這張新專輯《The Warping》之所以能感受源源不絕的樂趣，是在於率先有管弦樂序曲〈Seed〉緊接歌劇式作品〈Gnomes〉整個噴發出華麗糜爛色彩後，從〈Come Undone〉開始便將人帶入一個包含了sophisti-pop、glam rock、new romantic、synth-pop等音樂風格，又可以讓人聯想到彷彿Roxy Music 與David Bowie合體之趣味性的80年代復古音樂劇中，去徹底地、誠實地探討了性別認同和自我概念的深刻命題。
