◎ 〈Your Woman〉獲Pitchfork / Slant Magazine選為90年代最佳單曲之一

談到90年代來自獨立樂壇的「one-hit wonder」（一曲成名），Jyoti Mishra一人化身White Town用便宜器材在臥房做出的〈Your Woman〉，肯定是最強代表之一。

這首〈Your Woman〉透過記憶點超強、「俗擱有力」的復古小號取樣開場後，踏著宛如Daft Punk名曲〈Da Funk〉的中板techno-funk節拍，而來，完全就是lo-fi synth-pop + indie-dance的奇妙綜合體，不但成為英國金榜冠軍與美國 Billboard Hot 100 第 23 名， 更把收入此曲的這張專輯《Women In Technology》送上主流。

補個冷知識：同個小號sample後來又因為 Dua Lipa單曲 〈Love Again〉取用，促成不少年輕樂迷回頭去找 White Town來聽。

至於《Women In Technology》就是宅錄電子／indie pop 綜合體，融合風格五花八門，甚至印度Asian underground風味都能來上一點（事實上他就是生於印度 Rourkela、長大後移居英國）。在當時或許有點「不合時宜」，卻意外地成為早期bedroom-pop（宅錄流行）稱霸主流的最早經典案例之一。

而White Town之後再也沒有接近過這種商業高度，至此「White Town」這個名字成為90年代裡教科書級 的「one-hit wonder」，也讓《Women In Technology》憑添更具收藏價值的傳奇色彩。
