在石破天驚的首張專輯《Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)》在1993年出版成為一張90年經典之後，Wu-Tang Clan這個在當時集結Genius、RZA、Ol’ Dirty Bastard、Method Man、Raekwon、Ghostface Killah等人而成的傳奇hip hop集團，實行「中止活動」而讓各成員作個人發展，展現每人自成一格的創作功架（甚至RZA還與De La Soul的Prince Paul合組了The Gravediggaz），直到4年後才重聚發表了這張野心勃勃的雙唱片專輯《Wu-Tang Forever》，稱霸Billboard 冠軍並入圍葛萊美獎，音樂製作由RZA、Inspectah Deck與兩位「武當門徒」4th Disciple、True Master操刀，歌詞則深受Five-Percent Nation組織的教義影響而比《Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)》更具深度。
